Day 16 of Month 2

1. Looking for Mining Corporation

We are at the moment looking for mining corporations to supply us with minerals at a steady rate once we decide on the products we intend to make. Anyone who is interested in working with us contact me (Nikola Dorcolac) or Chin Upson, so we can discuss some terms. The supply won't start right away, but we need to prepare ourselves to have a steady supply when the time comes to start up a production, so look at this as a pre-deal, we also won't rush into things, we want to se our options, thanks for understanding.  Note: we can haul our minerals, anywhere from high-sec.

2. Looking for researched BPCs

We are also looking for a steady supply of some researched ship BPCs, for more information on what we need contact us so we can arrange some buissiness.

3. The Organization of "Dorcol Trading INC." so far

Today me and Chin discussed about how our we going to do in the future, and we decided that for now we will not take new members or investments to our corp, we will be focusing on maximazing our production and trading capabilities, and only then we will expand our buissiness. Today he got hands on a Jump Freighter toon, and he also bought a Charon, which is a HUGE invesment, and tomorrow we will be able to see it in action, we already invested 150 million ISK in production yesterday, and around 170 million ISK in production today, which will payoff soon I hope.

Today I made 85 million ISK profit, with a 5.41% trade margin, and with a daily growth of -61.17% I guess that from now on my personal trading profit will decline, because soon I will not have any my orders, only corporation orders, so in the future, expect corporate profit reports, we will start posting those, when we make a spreadsheet and when we go fully operational.

Today it was a good day considering I didn't play that much, I earnet 220 million ISK, with a 458.59% daily growth and a profit margin of 13.15% I am happy with the ressults of today.

2. Buissiness Plan with my partner

We talked today about our corporation organization and how things will work in the future. He decided to invest 1.5 billion ISK into the corporation for the purpose of getting new BPOs and getting the materials for our production, and already today we have invested around 150 million ISK already into production and one BPO, which is being researched in our POS. He has done some market research, and he did a really god job. At the moment he is in the proces of getting a freighter alt, and in couple of days when it is in his hands, we will start some large scale production, but the only problem is that only I can manufacture at the moment, and can run only 5 slots, in the future we hope to have 10 slots on my character and 10 on his, so we can run pretty much insanly large scale operations. We also decided that on our trading characters we slowly move our personal orders to corporation orders.  He has had some talks with some mining corporations, and we hope that our corporations will have large benefits from eachother in the future. We have a deal that each of us takes 25% profit, and the rest 50% we reinvest into our buissiness, but yet to be decided do we take the profit out weekly or once every 15 days, or once a month, anyway, there is still a lot of work ahead of us, and we will see how it goes.

First Business Partnership

1. First Partership

I am happy to announce my first business partnership with player named Chin Upson. Our end goal is to produce items, ships, and haul them to low-sec, and we hope to achive better profit than selling them in high-sec, but at the moment since we both lack skills, me in manufacturing department, and he needs a lot of training to do to get into Jump Freighter, so for now, we will focus just in high-sec trading, the idea is to invent T2 stuff, manufacture them and sell them. We will be in our full capacity in around a month, me beeing able to invent, manufacture almost everything, having 10 research, and 10 manufacturing jobs, and Chin being able to fly a regular freighter. He has joined my coorporation "Dorcol Trading INC." and we both invested 100 million ISK each into corporation, and we will use that money through corporation orders and playing the market for now to increase our startup capital for manufacturing in the weeks to come, after a month we will see how things are going, for now I honestly belive that this will work out. There are also a few ongoing negotations, which I hope will work as good as this one has.

2. Second Partnership


As I am writing this blog post, one more oppertunity has come accross, a player who whishes to stay anonymys, offer to be my BPC and small mineral suplier, he basicly has every ship BPO researched, so I am looking forward to working with him, it looks like we will both profit from this deal.

Today it has not been a good day for my profit, I sufferd 61 million ISK loss, mainly because I invested in corporation 100 million ISK and another 131 million ISK into manufacturing, tomorrow I hope it will be a better day, but considering those 2 partnerships I can't hardly say that it will be.

As you can see today I didn't sell a lot of items, most of them i bought, but at the end of the day I made 172 million ISK profit, with a nice 20.46% profit growth from a previous day, and a 10.96% profit margin. I am happy for today how things worked out since I didn't have any luck getting the items.


2. Manufacturing Profit


My manufacturing profit is finally recovering from a big loss because of big BPO purchase (mentioned in earlier posts) and tomorrow i will finally fully recover from a loss, and reinvestments into materials for manufacturing rigs won't take me aggain into loss.


3. Upcoming Big Investment


This has been mentioned earlier, and I am still running some numbers and doing a market analasys to see if it is a good investment in long term. At the moment, I need 75 million ISK for the BPO, and around 1 billion ISK for the matirials for a couple of days of production, but the potencial profit for this item is about 55 million ISK a day, which is great, considering that my most profitable item is around 20 million ISK a day, but also i have much, much less to invest in that. One of my problems with this investment is that I don't have a freighter at the moment, and I need to find someone who will move my goods to the manufacturing location, I know that this isn't THAT hard, but I just prefere to do it on my own.

I currently have 3 billion ISK sitting at my wallet, 1.3 billion ISK in sell orders and 1 billion ISK in escrow (about 5-6 billion in buy orders, which i can sustain at all time, since the things are moving a bit slow these days) and I don't like my ISK sitting at my wallet basicly being usless, this is why I am ready for this big investment, big for me, sinice i never invested that kind of money in manufacturing, but I want to make sure it is good investment.

4. Invention Char Training

Finally Science V is done on my invention alt, and now going for mechanic V so i could invent some T2 ships, I hope that in 10 days time I will be able to finally start the invention of them, also my manufacturing char is a couple of days from being able to make them, so it all fits perfectly. Also I am looking to start T2 ship components as soon as possible.

5. Buissiness Proposal

Today some people showd interest in working with me, we will see how that gose I honestly hope that in the future we can reach some sort of agreement profitable for everyone. In the upcoming days I will know more about this.

Day 12 of Month 2

Here is the list of items traded today. It was a slow day, since i had some rl issues, and i uppdated my orders 3 or 3 times in total, but it was good, since i made 143 million ISK profit, and i had a 11.10% profit growth from yesterday, with a 8.14% profit margin which isn't that bad.

2. High fee and tax costs

At the moment the fees and taxes are pretty much killing me, because I only have Accounting IV and Brooker's Relations III, I am seriously considering on maxing those two skills, and doing some missions to gain standigs to lower even more my fees. During the period of 1 Month and 12 days, I spent a total of 901 million ISK in brooker's fees and 312 million ISK in taxes, total of 1.2 billion ISK practicly wasted.

3. Investment oppertunity

Today I had a plan to invest in one BPO and the matirials to produce that item, after some calculations it turned out that I had to invest near 500 million ISK for the plan, which could land me around 55-60 million ISK a day, but I wasn't ready yet to invest that kind of money yet because I am already suffering a big loss in my manufacturing department, and I am waiting to get up on my feet again in a couple of days with it, so prepare in the upcoming days there will be again some big investments in my manufacturing department.

In this picture you can see all of the items I traded today, names are not shown because of the competition, I will just let you look at the numbers for now, today was a moderate day, nothing big happened, I had to reinvest some money in manufacturing one item (All transactions are written down, so i can track everything that goes through my hands, the manufacturing spreadsheet is connected to this one, and all the profit/loss form there is calculated in here also).

As you can see in this picture i made 129 million today, with a profit margin of 7.64% which is quite nice for me, since I have seen some really low margins during my career, and i achived a 138.13% profit growth compared to the day before, which isn't surprising because I bought that 425 million blueprint i have been talking about.

In this picture you can see the progress made so far in my second month. I have made 1.5 billion ISK in 11 days, I am really satisfied with that because it is more than enough to buy me 2 PLEX, and to fuel my POS for a month, and still have some leftover ISK, in the upcoming days i will me looking to invest more in some production, so I don't expect high end trade profit, because mu ISK will be redirected form market.

Some insight on my manufacturing numbers so far

Here you are some numbers of my productions. Just a few notes, when you see in mineral price 25 million quantity 1, and didn't sell anything of that item, that is BPO purchase, and when you see XY mineral price XY quantity and no sell price, that means that item is still in production. At the moment im am suffering a loss because of reinvestment, on this last item i make atm, and as you see major blow to my manufacturing income is that 425 million BPO, hope it will payoff soon, in the meantime i will continue to produce the resto of those items and hope that market will be at a steady price, and a good profit margins. Also I didn't show item names because of competition.

Future Plans

1. Skill on my trading/industry character to do T2 production
Bassicly my intention here is skilling up  all necesary skills needed for T2 production, and later on branch out to max those skills that I will need for making items i find profitabe. And at a same time skilling up my other character for invention of those items i intend to produce, when he is done i will skill another character just for research just to have more research jobs available.

2. Skill up for a freighter
As the ammount of materials and minerals rise, i can not use my Iteron Mark III for large scale hauling, and in order to cut down on time wasting jumping back and forth, and also to save up the ISK from courier contracts, and also make some money hauling for people.

3. Skilling up multiple characters for production
I intend to skill 1 or maybe 2 more characters just for production, another 10 or 20 manufactoring slots would be really nice for my income, still not sure if I will go with plan 3 or plan 4 first, yet to be decided.

4. Finish skilling up for PI and setting it up for some serious production 
And finally when goals 1 and 2 are completed I will put more time in PI skills on every character on both my accounts, I was thinking Comand Center Upgrades and Interplanetary Consolitadion IV, so i can setup some serious P4 production, to make mi passive income, that will cover the cost for my PLEX, to be honest, I didn't run any numbers so I don't know how much income i can make with 6 characters and 5 planets per toon, will do that in the upcoming weeks.

How it all began

START

Hello all, my name is Nikola Dorcolac, and i started trading in december when i got bored of running L4 missions all the time. As a startup capital I sent ISK from my main character to this newborn trader, the ammount of 20.000.000 (20 million) ISK was sent to startup a small trading buissines.

Character was created, and immidieatly I started training him to become a large scale trader, first i trained, a couple of bassic skills, Trade IV, Brooker's Relations III, Accounting IV, Retail II, Gallente Industrial III, Mechanic III and Hull Upgrades II, at that moment i thought that i would do some regional trading, and i needed a hauler, which became usless after a few days when i decided to do sation trading in Jita 4-4, but in the upcoming weeks it proved that he was usefull afterall, more on that later.

FIRST TRADING EXPERIANCE

First items i started trading were ships, destroyers, and frigates mostly. I discovered that those ships moved damn slow, and landed me about 5.000.000 (5 million) ISK profit a day, i was expecting a better return, since I have read on all forums, that traders make large amounts of ISK in small amount of time, but at the same time I knew i need to have more ISK to make even more ISK. After a few days i had around 30-40 million ISK, and was now looking for new items that i could trade that moved faster, that will land me more profit than the ships, I spent a lot of time finding those items, and i started trading Warp Scrambler II, and X-Large Shield Booster 2, they were cheap items, wiht profit margins of about 100-200 thousand ISK per item, seems a bit low, but since they move really fast, I started landing 20 million ISK a day, I was really happy with how things were going, because if the growth trent continues i will have for a PLEX and more money to invest.

FIRST BIG INVESTMENT

After about 15 days i had around 300 milion ISK in my wallet, and i saw this huge oppertunity there were 100 Retrievers in Amarr that were cheaper around 500-750 thousand ISK that the ones in Jita, I had no cash on my trader toon, but i transfered the cash from my main, 460 million ISK and i was able to buy them all. I had my doubts about this deal, but i sad to myself, just do it, and it was a success. I set up a courier contract, and the items were shortly deliverd to Jita 4-4, and it landed me about 50-60 million ISK profit, sorry but i can't remember the exact ammount. I trained than Margin Trading III, and it really increased my turnover significantly.

FIRST MISTAKE

Now that i had nearly 900 million ISK in my wallet, I started thinking what else could I do besides trading that could give me some sort of a passive income, I stardet training for Planetary Interaction (PI), did the training Command Center Upgrades to III and Interplanetary Consolidation to III, Planetology and Remote Sensing to IV, which later proved that it was a waste of time since I didn't put much effort into PI, I was just to lazy, I discovered that I didn't like it that much as I thought I would.

GOING TO INDUSTRY

I wannted to try myself in industry, so i trained Productio Efficiency to V, Industry to V, Mass Production IV, and during the training period I continued trading and i had around 2 billion ISK, at that time I also noticed that in order to make things myselff and sell them I needed science toon, i sent a friend invitation to myself, bought a PLEX, now I had 2 accounts, on that second account i was skilling up for resaerch at first, and invention later, i bought a corp for 75 million ISK on my second account, so i could set up a POS one day to do my own research. By the time mine manufacturing training was complited I had around 3.5 billion ISK and was ready to invest, but didn't know what. I decided to build up some POS moduels, which was later proven to be a good decision, because in 5 days I made a staggering 600 million profit, but those items moved really slow, so i decided not to make them anymore. I started thinking of making a manufacturing corp, and selling shares to collect some startup capital, I had a good buissiness plan to present to market forums, but decidet, to pull it off myself, since I didn't like the idea of me answering to someone else than me, so I decided to be my own boss, and started up Dorcol Trading INC just for fun. (Dorcol is part of Belgrade where I live).
After that I set up my own POS, bought a couple of rig BPOs, and starded researching, 2 BPOs are now researched and are now in production, and they have really nice profit. I was still on a look for a potencial BPO that could give me constant high profit on long term so i bought a ship BPO for 450 million isk, and it is currently in research.
